Blacksmith Skeleton Bottle Opener Workshop
Workshop led by Toby Flores, FHSU Sculpture Professor
Dates: Friday, August 7 or Saturday August 8, 2026
Time: 9:30 to 11:30 AM
Maximum participants per day 4
Participants will be forging mild steel flat bar into working bottle openers in two hours. We will be utilizing a propane forge, anvils, hammers, punches, a guillotine and some elbow grease. No experience is necessary. Safety and proper tool use will be the focus.
We will be working with open flame and heavy tools; the following attire is required: closed-toed shoes, cotton pants and shirt (long sleeves advised), leather gloves if you have your own, and safety glasses if you have your own. Please also bring water to drink.

Workshops are limited to 4 participants each day. Each participant needs to complete their own registration. If registering for your child, please include their name in the notes.
