Community Outreach Events

The Lovegrass Music Festival Association is a non-profit organization that aims to promote the bluegrass arts in our rural Kansas communities, enhancing the quality of life for all. Our mission extends beyond this as we strive to provide shared cultural experiences and partnerships to make a significant economic impact on our local communities and beyond. We achieve this by hosting year-round music events in our region, culminating in an annual three-day festival on the second weekend in August at the beautiful Lake Wilson State Park.

We host bimonthly jams in Hays - follow us on Facebook or Instagram for updates.

In May 2024 we launched the Lovegrass Concert Series with support from Hays businesses to bring live music to Downtown locations. We want to thank our sponsors: Hays Convention & Visitors Bureau, Auto World, Hays Wal-Mart, Lamato's Pizza, Heartland Community Foundation, Kansas State Fiddling & Picking Championships - they make these events possible!

A special shout out to Paisley Pear Bar, Bistro and Market for hosting our bi-monthly jams, the second and fourth Thursdays each month.
